Chadwick Work Day April 12 ![]() As in the past, the Northwest Arkansas ATV Riders Club and the Ozark Trails ATV Club co-hosted a trail work day and weekend campout. This is a twice a year get together to share food, riding fun, trail clearing chores and renewing old friendships. It was held April 11-13. Over 25 workers showed up in the cold and spitting snow to help repair and maintain the trails damaged by all the floods and ice storms this past winter. As usual, we enjoyed a pot luck supper of chili and Red Hot Cajun Beans and Rice on Saturday Night. The OTAC monthly meeting was also held on Saturday night. Some of the jobs we helped with included: Putting up signs and GPSing the bridges, while the saw teams clear dead falls from trails and the jackhammer team took out some of the many rocks exposed by the recent rains. Other teams put up map kiosk at key locations. All in all, it was a good weekend with no sweat, no dust, and lots of mud! Our April meeting will be held at 6pm on Saturday, April 12 in conjunction with the Chadwick Work Day and bean supper. Join us there for a hot weekend!
